West Herr Auto, a Buffalo Buick dealer, is excited to promote the new 2011 Buick LaCrosse. The LaCrosse is a sleek and stylish luxury sedan that uses the best of modern technology to deliver the ultimate driving experience.
The engine is a 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder that gets 182 horsepower. It can be upgraded to a 3.6-liter V-6, which rockets the power up to 280 horsepower. The 4-cylinder model has a fuel efficiency rating of 19 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.
As of now, the 2011 Buick LaCrosse hasn’t been officially crash tested by the government or the Insurance Institute For Highway Safety. However, very little has changed from its 2010 model, which received the IIHS’s much-coveted Top Safety Pick award. Every trim comes with front, side and overhead airbags, with rear side airbags as an option. All LaCrosse purchases come with a one-year subscription to GM’s OnStar service, which is built into the control panel. A rearview camera is available that not only shows what’s behind the car, but also draws the predicted path the car will take using high-tech sensor technology.
The 2011 Buick LaCrosse is already making waves for having all the trappings of a high-end luxury sports car, without the luxury price tag. The MSRP starts at only $26,995. The LaCrosse’s exterior is artfully sculpted for aesthetic quality as well as aerodynamic efficiency. The interior is where the LaCrosse really shines. The rear seats have just as much legroom as the front seats. All seats have carefully crafted ergonomic back support and soft leather normally only found in Cadillacs. The interior lights are an opaque blue that provides just enough to see around the cabin without distracting the driver. As for engine noise, the cabin is completely silent, even at high speeds. As the Los Angeles Times put it, the comfort of the LaCrosse’s interior “blows Lexus out of the sky. Pow. Parachute. Smoking crater.”
The LaCrosse also comes equipped with blind spot alerts, which notifies the Buffalo Buick driver if a vehicle is in her or her blind spot. It utilizes Stabilitrak electronic stability control, a system proven so effective that it is required to receive the highest IIHS safety rating. 4-wheel antilock brakes are standard on all trims as well.

General Motors revealed that total sales for Buick in April were up 36 percent from the same month a year ago, posting its seventh consecutive month with an increase in U.S. sales, as announced by Buffalo Buick dealer, West Herr Buick.
Topping April sales were the Enclave and LaCrosse, two key models in Buick’s ongoing renaissance. Buick is emerging as a modern, premium brand with vehicles characterized by sculpted designs, personal technologies, luxurious interiors and responsive performance. The LaCrosse, Buick’s luxury sedan, experienced a 237 percent increase while the Enclave had a 29 percent increase in retail sales in the month.
“We are pleased to see that for the seventh straight month Buick has had double digit year-over-year sales increases,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of Buick-GMC sales. “The LaCrosse and Enclave continue to appeal to buyers searching for a premium vehicle without the premium price.”
The 2010 Buick Enclave is a luxury crossover with two models available: the CX and CXL, which both have a 3.6-liter, 288 horsepower V-6.
The 2010 Buick LaCrosse is a midsize sedan with three available models of its own: the CX, CXL and CXS. The CX and CXL are powered by a 3.0-liter, 255-horsepower V-6 engine while the CXS has a 3.6-liter, 280-horsepower V-6.
The Enclave and Lacrosse, with available premium audio and DVD systems and free three-month trial subscriptions to XM Radio and its 130 channels of commercial-free music, meet all the entertainment needs of Buick shoppers in Buffalo.

Today I discussed the merits of the internet with a volunteer fireman, heard tales of house renovation from an automotive technician and learned sales techniques from a father of six. Just a typical day working for the West Herr Auto Group .
With 15 dealerships and approxiamtely 1100 employees, you’ll find just about every walk of life at any given location. While the personalities vary, the general attitude of courtesy and honesty is the same.
“This company has great faith in it’s people. It’s amazing,” said Mike Wilkinson, sales consultant at West Herr Ford, Lincoln and Mercury in Amherst, NY.
Wilkinson has been with West Herr for 17 years. He has been in the automotive sales industry for close to 30. He is a father of six and coaches baseball for his children. Wilkinson says West Herr offers him the flexibility to balance his family life. He’s not the only employee with this sentiment.

“It’s amazing what this company does for you that they dont have to do,” said Dennis Albrecht, a technician from West Herr.
While Wilkinson leads a prototypical suburban family life, the humble Albrecht prefers to renovate his house with his weekends. Despite the size of the company, Albrecht praised the owners’ efforts in getting to know all their employees.
“I saw (vice president) John Wabick at Wegman’s, and he made it a point to say hello and ask me about my family,” Albrecht said. “He knew my name and I wasn’t even wearing my name tag.”
Whether its the oldest dealership in the group or a small body shop, the open communication remains unchanged.
“I love the respect and freedom you get to do your job around here,” said Joe Steinert, an employee of the West Herr Body Shop. Steinert is also a volunteer firefighter in Langford, NY; a clear sign of his dedication to the Western New York community.
As a new employee, fitting in and learning your surroundings is often the toughest challenge. After touring just a few of the 15 West Herr dealerships in Buffalo, it’s clear this is a place where people thrive long-term.
